Barack Obama. Now I know that it wont be official until January, but good to know that we arent going to have to put up with 4 more years of [censored]. Change is finally coming and hopefully it will be good, we need it. Been a long campaign and a lot of arguments on here, but its over now. I was pretty proud to vote for the first time in my life today, good feeling knowing that my vote meant something and that I had a voice with my ballot. I hope and think that this will work out and things will have changed for the good by the end of his first term. Just a proud day to be an American in general, knowing I have the right to vote for whoever I think will help us as a nation. Its another great feat in American history. In the 60's no one thought this would be possible, a black man president. For the most part we have come a long ways from those horrible times when our nation was divided. Even if you arent a Democrat, be proud too, that our country has ,for the most part, overcome the racism that existed here 40 years ago. We have come a long way in that sense, and hopefully we will continue to make progress in other areas. Now it is time to fix this country that is in desperate need for help, I think/hope he will but time will tell. I'm just pretty happy to be an American right now, not to mention a Dem. If it wasnt for the extreme incompetence and squandering of the leaders in Washington Obama would have never gotten to even smell the paint in the oval office. All we can do is move forward and hope he doesnt do worse than Bush.
